Covid-19 Precautions:
We are happy to report that our monthly meetings are resuming in September, however some precautions and restrictions will be introduced to ensure social distancing.
Indoor meetings will be restricted to a maximum of 25. In order to attend it will be necessary to pre-book by emailing secretary@southdublinbirds.com or phoning Mary on 086 1586 330. Those attending will be required to wear a face mask.
Attendance at outdoor meetings will not require pre-booking at this time, however the sharing of binoculars or telescopes will not be allowed.
Events for October and beyond will be posted here when details become available.
These precautions are introduced for the safety of all members but will be reviewed over time.

September 2020

Indoor Meeting

Date: Tuesday, 1st September.
Location: The Graduate Pub, Rochestown Avenue.
Title: Dalkey Island Tern Project.
Speaker: BirdWatch Ireland's Dalkey Island Tern Conservation Officer, Tara Adcock.
Anyone who has attended our July tern evenings during 2018 and 2019 will have met Tara who is now in her third year working on the Dalkey tern project.

Outdoor meeting

Date & time to meet : Sunday, 6th September at 09:00.
Outing to: West Pier, Dun Laoghaire.
Extra information: Meet in the Salthill car park (aka Windsurfer's car park) adjacent to the water pumping station at the back of the pier. Please note the earlier than usual meeting time. For a map showing the meeting place click HERE.
